Though surrounded by dramatic tree-lined ridges, Nicklaus seamlessly integrated his award-winning creation into the Chestatee River Valley, making it relatively flat and thus ideal for walking. Golfers of all skill levels can enjoy this challenging yet playable masterpiece, with its Bent grass greens and manicured fairways that roll gently past picturesque views of the river. The Chestatee plays a major role on approximately half of the holes, as epitomized by the #4 green, #5 hole and #6 tee box, nestled together on a lush island in the middle of the river.
