Macedon, New York
Under new ownership, Blue Heron Hills Golf Club (formerly Blue Heron Hills Country Club) kicked off the 2010 season as a semi-private golf club with competitively-priced season memberships and daily fee golf. Blue Heron Hills Golf Club offers a unique playing experience for golfers of all abilities with its interesting golf architecture sculpted into a picturesque backdrop of natural woodlands, lakes and wetlands. The championship-level course located just 20 minutes outside Rochester, NY, challenges golfers to select the right club and balance risk and reward on every shot. Each hole is unique, with no parallel fairways. The distinctive features of the course include large tees and greens, bentgrass fairways, and an abundant natural water supply that keeps the course in prime condition throughout the season. Built in 1987, Blue Heron Hills Golf Club was designed by Peter Craig and Dick Bator, with advice from developer Nelson Leenhouts and a team of landscape architects, environmentalists, and golf professionals, including Jack Nicklaus. As a championship-level course, Blue Heron Hills has been a regular venue for exhibitions, charity tournaments, and top amateur competitions.
