Greenville, Alabama
The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Cambrian Ridge is in Greenville, Alabama, about an hour southwest of Montgomery. Known by avid golfers as one of the most beautiful and challenging stops on the Trail, it's well worth the ride for any golfer looking for 36 holes of jaw-dropping golf. Cambrian Ridge was immortalized in the 2003 Microsoft golf game Links, for which it was the subject of an extensive ad campaign in Golf magazine. In 2001, Golf Digest ranked Cambrian Ridge the #3 Best New Public Golf Course in the Country, the #6 Golf Course in the State and the #1 Golf Course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Cambrian Ridge's nine-hole Short Course is a marvelous collection of par 3 holes laid out beautifully between the ridge and Sherling Lake. With water in play on five of the holes, the Short Course is both scenic and challenging.
