Tamarac, Florida
Colony West Country Club is a beautiful facility located in Tamarac, Florida. Colony West features two, 18-hole Tamarac golf courses. Visitors, as well as players from throughout the state, love the tee times there. The course’s popularity is due to a combination of variety, scenery and friendly service. The Championship design was crafted by famed course architects Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin. They crafted the layout specifically for the PGA’s Jackie Gleason Classic, known these days as the Honda Classic. Their handy work was not just good enough for the PGA, it was also enough to establish this course as one of the best around, earning it heaps of praise from the Florida State Golf Association and the Florida Business Journal, which called it the toughest public course in South Florida.
