Azle, Texas
Designed by Jeffery Brauer, Cross Timbers opened in 1995. Its Azle location is convenient to Fort Worth, Weatherford, Springtown, and Lake Worth. It has grown into a favorite of locals and visitors from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The par-72, 18 hole tract winds its way through the hilly, wooded land next to Ash Creek in the "Cross Timbers" area of north Texas. The design takes full advantage of this unique topography, with multiple elevations changes that create a true “Hill Country” feel. Nowhere is this more evident than on the signature hole, #9. A 165-yard par 3, it requires a precise tee shot over a ravine to a green protruding on a cliff, surrounded by a natural rock wall. Always in excellent condition, the course features Champion Bermuda greens and offers a variety of challenges. With undulating fairways, natural hazards, many bunkers and collection areas, a round at Cross Timbers will engage and enthrall golfers of all skill levels!
