Rolling green fairways, majestic trees and sparkling lakes are the inspiring backdrop for Eaglewood’s championship golf course. The par-72, 6,017-yard course boasts 100-year-old oak trees, three beautiful lakes and dramatically sloping greens. Originally designed by Charles Maddox, the Golf Club at Eaglewood opened in 1928 and for more than 75 years afforded golfers a challenging and sporty round of golf. In 2006 designer Lee Schmidt was asked to make the course more challenging by placing a premium on shot execution. All of the course's bunkers were rebuilt, becoming an integral part of the complex green. The lake on the 12th hole was enlarged and now requires a strong second shot to stay dry. An example of the risk and reward challenge can be seen on the 15th hole. This short par 4 can be reached with a strong drive but, if mis-hit, your ball could end up in one of the four deep bunkers that surround the green. Minutes from downtown Chicago, Eaglewood rewards the discriminating golfer with a superb golf experience. Visit the Pro Shop for a full array of equipment, apparel and gifts for the avid golfer.
