Hartsville, South Carolina
Hartsville Country Club’s golf course was originally designed by legendary course designer Robert Trent Jones. It endured and enjoyed many great and not-so-great rounds from the time the club was opened in 1926 until the course was re-modeled in the mid 90's by another legendary golf course architect and player, Tom Watson. The golf course is always kept under pristine condition through the watchful eyes of the Golf Course Superintendent Happy Taylor. The course today features plush fairways, rough, and tee-boxes comprised of 419 Bermuda grass. The front side green renovation included the introduction of Mini-Verde grass on the greens, with the back side green renovation from 325 Bermuda to Mini-Verde.
