The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove is in Mobile, Alabama, a half-hour west of downtown. The property includes creeks, marshes and lakes, and each of the 54 holes is carved from a thick forest of hardwood and pine. Magnolia Grove recently won a Readers' Choice Award from Golf World magazine for being one of the Top 50 Public Courses. Most of the holes on Magnolia Grove's Short Course, recently named the best par 3 course in America, call for forced carries over marshland to liberally sloped, bulkheaded greens, and are equal to any of the one-shotters on the full-length courses.
