Morris Williams Golf Course

Austin, Texas

Morris Williams Golf Course in Austin, Texas was constructed in 1963 and opened in 1964 as Austin's 3rd municipal course. Designed by Leon Howard, one of the most prolific golf course architects of the time, the course features small, slightly elevated, contoured greens. These features combined with the rolling terrain probably make Morris Williams Golf Course the most difficult of all of the city's courses. However, the recent addition of forward tees and the improved turf make the course playable for all levels of golfers. The facility features 6,637 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71 and it has a slope rating of 121 on Bermuda grass.
