Paradise Valley Golf Course

Fairfield, California

Built in 1993 and designed by Robert Muir Graves, this course features many doglegs that follow the meandering creek. Mature trees line most of the fairways and water comes into play on nine of the holes. The 10th hole is Paradise Valley`s signature hole. This par-5 hole requires a series of accurate shots. A well-placed tee shot just short of the lake sets up a second shot. The large oak tree just beyond the ravine, guards the shot to the green. Sand and grass bunkers surround the green; scoring par will be a challenge. The 14th hole features another lone oak tree on the left of the fairway and a series of sand traps on the right that lead up to the green. When the breeze is just right, some adventurous golfers have been known to drive the green, avoiding all the hazards. Two small lakes greet players when they tee off on the finishing 18th hole. With the Clubhouse as a backdrop, a perfect approach shot to the two-tiered green sets up an opportunity to score a birdie ... and finish a great round of golf at Paradise Valley.
