Borger, Texas
This Borger golf course offers one of the finest tee times of any Texas Panhandle golf facility. Dubbed the Phillips Municipal Golf Course because the Phillips Petroleum Company built and assigned its employees to operate it for fifty years, this course is now managed by the City of Borger. And they’re doing a great job. In fact, you won’t find a better tee time within 100 miles in any direction. This wide-open course spans 6,300 yards from the back tees for a par of 72, a rating of 68.1 and a slope of 100. Since it first opened in 1941, this course has been a favorite of local golfers as well as those who make the drive up from Amarillo.
