Clarkston, Michigan
*DESCRIPTION: For years, golf enthusiasts from all over Michigan have made The Pine Knob Golf Course a 'must play' track. Maybe it's our friendly staff, the great layout, or perhaps it's the recent updates in the course design that keeps them coming back. With our award-winning course designer, Dan Pohl, it's obvious that great course management makes the difference between a good round and a fantastic one.In the last few years, we have continually updated greens, bunkers and general course layout to make it a better golf experience. Recently we added a tee-to-green practice facility. The new driving range features tee boxes, greens and bunkers to help cultivate your game. We offer a full-service pro-shop that serves up great food. We specialize in outings and leagues. Lunches and dinners are served in our fabulous outdoor pavilion with excellent seating. Our first tee-box on The Eagle Course is the highest elevation in Oakland County, giving a player an amazing view, not found anywhere else in the area.
[EAGLE:] This course is the only one east of royal st george. The others are on the west. Starting off at the highest elevation is also right next to the Mansion. This side is the only side with houses (others have condos). The houses are very nice and posess an upscale style. [The Eagle plays at a generous length for all player types, although hitting it straight is important (specially the one's with houses). The greens are the toughest because of the undulation.] [EZLINKS CAN BOOK 9 OR 18 HOLES ON EAGLE]
[FALCON:] Located next to the club house, it is along with the Eagle part of the original 18. [This side has the most water come into play but also provides with great sights.] This side has a man-made waterfall and stream through a fairway and sits right behind the DTE Energy Music Theater. It is not out of the ordinary for people to come play only to play this side during concerts. This side was altered when the Hawk was built. [This can play the hardest of the nines, but most can play.] [EZLINKS CAN NEVER BOOK ON FALCON. IF ANYONE WANTS TO PLAY FALCON CONTACT THE SHOP.]
[HAWK:] This is the newest part of the course. Hole number 9 runs along the road as you drive in. This is the southwest part of the property. Also runs behind all the condos on the left. This side can play difficult but beginners can play here. [EZLINKS CAN ONLY BOOK 9 HOLE PLAY ON HAWK. EZLINKS CAN'T BOOK 18 HOLE PLAY]
[BASIC COMPARISON] Eagle- Has a very high elevation Falcon- Runs behind a very famous music theatre (Amplified Music Theatre). It is surrounded by a small lake. This course is considered the most difficult because of the water. Hawk- This course is always in pristine condition. This is the best course for beginners because the pace of play runs longer. Noone will rush them off the course.
*BOOKING INFO: EAGLE: EZLinks can only book 18 or 9 on Eagle FALCON: EZLinks cannot book at all on Falcon. HAWK: EZLinks can book only 9 hole play on Hawk.
