*DESCRIPTION: Warmed by the Southern California sun and cooled by ocean breezes, River Ridge offers championship courses with country club quality at public rates Originally designed by Billy Bell Jr. in the mid-1980s, the Vineyard Course has gone through several redesigns providing ocean and panoramic views of Oxnard and Ventura County. This Ventura County golf course is renowned for its wide-open fairways, low lying roughs, superb bent/poa annual greens and five Lakes spanning the back nine holes. It is highlighted by the par-three 18th 'Island' hole measuring from 122 yards to 191 yards and usually playing into the wind. The Victoria Lakes course opened in 2008 and provides a great test of Ventura County golf. Voted one of the best courses in Ventura County, the greens are poa annual grass and the fairways are Greg Norman (GNI) hybrid Bermuda. Like the Vineyard course, Victoria Lakes harbors eight acres of water. You will Especially enjoy our version of Amen Corner when you encounter holes 12, 13, and 14.The Victoria Lakes course was the proud host of the American Junior Golf Association in 2009, 2011 and 2013. [Summary] Vineyard - The original course. It's more wide open and has more undulations. (has island green) Victoria Lakes - More strategic in nature. More risk/reward. (no island green) *GOLF SHOP HOURS: 5:30am - Dusk The course only has one golf shop. *DRIVING RANGE: Driving Range is open based on sunlight. - 100 stations, all grass. Tuesday the range opens later because of maintenance. The range is mowed on Tuesday. Mondays the range closes at 3:30pm. Last bucket sold at 6pm, lights off at 6:30pm Range has lights during the winter season Small: 34 balls $5 Medium: 68 balls $8 Large: 106 balls $10 Not included n the greens fees Hit off of grass tees and/or mats Dress code for the range is relaxed. If customer needs rental clubs for range, they will see the Vineyard starter, leave their ID and the starter will loan them clubs. *PRACTICE FACILITIES: We have two chipping areas on both sides of the range. The bunker on the east side of the range has 2 sand bunkers. The Vineyard course has a practice putting green and the Victoria Lakes course has a practice putting green. Very large range hitting off grass/mats. *CLUB AMENITIES: Well stocked golf shop with golf balls, equipment, clothing, accessories and more. No lockers or showers. *CLUB RENTAL: $35 for 18 holes premiium sets (Ping, Mizuno, Titelist, Calloway) $17.50 for 9 holes or sunset (3:30 pm) Men's rights and lefts Women's rights Juniors clubs are available. *CADDIES: There are no caddies available at this time. *BAG DROP: Unmanned bag drop area located in front of the clubhouse. There is also a drop by the cart return area and by the 18th green on Victoria Lakes *GATES: This course does not have a gate, but the course does have security.
