Riverside Golf Course located in Janesville is ranked as one of Southern Wisconsin's best public golf courses. The Riverside Golf Course received a 3.5 star rating in the acclaimed Golf Digest and has been showcased as one of the top 50 best values in public golf in the country. Opened for play in 1924 and designed by Robert Bruce Harris, Riverside features tree-lined fairways, rolling hills and large,undulating bent grass greens. This 18 hole par 72 hole championship layout plays from 5,069 yards to 6,508 yards. Challenging for golf purists yet playable for everyone. Riverside Golf Course has grown in prominence and is the proud host of the Ray Fischer Tournament. The tournament is one of the most prestigious amateur events in the Midwest and lists many PGA tour stars; among the former winners are Steve Stricker and Skip Kendall.
