As one of southern California's finest golf clubs, Steele Canyon has been awarded Golf Digest's four-star rating, one of only three golf clubs in San Diego County to be so honored. The 27-hole championship course was personally designed by Gary Player with respect and appreciation for the natural beauty of the terrain. Each of the three nines offers a distinct environment and type of play for all levels of golfers, with the rugged Canyon Course's dramatic shotmaking challenges and breathtaking elevations, the Ranch Course winding through the fields of a working ranch and the Meadow Course stretching along the valley floor with beautiful woodlands and streams. RESIDENT RATES: San Diego County Residents receive a discounted rate when the tee time is made inside of 7-days. If a SD Resident books a tee time outside of 7-days, then they have to pay the Non-Resident Rates. DRIVING RANGE: Open dawn to dusk. $5 for 35 balls. Included in Non-Resident Fees. Not included in San Diego County Resident Fees. Hits off grass tees and mats. Dress code applies. PRACTICE FACILITIES: Putting and chipping greens. Practice bunkers. GPS: No, but has been walked and mapped out for all major GPS providers. CLUB RENTAL: $55 for Taylor Made clubs. Available for men and women in right and left-handed. CLUB AMENITIES: Fully stocked golf shop with clothes and equipment. No locker/shower facilities.
