Sauk Centre, Minnesota
The course resembles many Links-style courses in Scotland and Ireland. Many of the characteristics of these courses included well groomed fairways alongside prairie grasses and wildflowers. Add an occasional blustery wind, gaping and strategically placed 53 bunkers, plus large undulating greens, and one can sense what it was like to golf in Scotland. Golfers of all abilities and handicaps can play Lynx National Golf Course. The par 72 course plays from four sets of tees measuring 7,000 yards from the back tees and 5,260 from the forward tees. The focal point of the course is its massive greens that average nearly 8,000 square feet. The front nine is referred to as “The Prairie” and the back nine is known as “The Marsh”.
