Alpharetta, Georgia
This course boasts an interesting, mid-length layout that places more emphasis on accuracy and a deft short game than power. Just 6,775 yards from the gold tees and a modest 6,000 from the blues, this Steve Melnyk design has only a handful of par 4s with appreciable length, with several barely exceeding 300 yards from the blues. Located in the beautiful, unspoiled farm countryside just north of Alpharetta, Trophy Club of Atlanta is carved out of heavily wooded terrain to create a challenging yet playable course. Now featuring Champion Bermuda greens, Trophy Club of Atlanta is one of best conditioned courses in metro Atlanta. Nominated as Golf Digest's "Best New Public Course" when opened in 1992, it was designed by DJ DeVictor and ABC-TV Golf Analyst Steve Melnyk. Measuring 6,774 yards from the championship tees, it offers multiple tee locations for every skill level. Practice on the club’s chipping green, or buy the latest merchandise at the Pro Shop.
