wisted Gun Golf Club opened in the fall of 2002 with rave reviews. This links style course is placed on a former mine site in southern Mingo county near the town of Gilbert. Twisted Gun Golf Club has four sets of tees and will challenge anyone from the novice to the seasoned professional. Twisted Gun plays 7,015 yards from the professional tees, and only 5,155 yards from the forward tees. The Club was recognized in 2007 by Golf Online.com as one of the "Top Fifty under Fifty" ranking 17th out of 50 that the public can play for under fifty dollars. Twisted Gun has also hosted the WVGA Senior Four Ball Championship in 2006 and again in 2007. The club has also hosted regional qualifiers for both the West Virginia Open and Mid Amateur.
