Wedgewood Golf Course opened in 1970. Measuring 6,836 yards from the back tees, this par 72 course features large undulating greens protected by numerous bunkers. Water comes into play on ten holes, and wind is almost always a factor. Wedgewood is a complete test of power, touch, and course management. Wedgewood plays host to the Joliet Amateur Golf Tournament, attracting a field of up to 200 amateur golfers from the Midwest. Wedgewood also hosts the Joliet Park District's Open Golf Championship, and runs numerous special events throughout the year. Group outings are welcome for all players at all levels. Amenities offered include a lighted driving range, and two large practice areas for pitching, chipping, bunker play, and putting. A clubhouse with concessions and a well-stocked pro shop will greet players.
